Tormek SVM-00 Small Knife Holder

The new holder works with the Tormek Knife Jig KJ-45. Your knife’s handle, rather than the blade, mounts in the SVM-00 holder. The SVM-00 then clamps into the KJ-45. Using this system there is really no limit to how small a blade you can sharpen. Small knife blades are difficult to sharpen at the best of times. Normally sharpened free hand, consistent shape and edge angle are always a challenge. The SVM-00 opens up the ability to work with complete control on a wide range of small knives. You can now sharpen knives of different shapes for whittling, chip carving and detail work. The SVM-00 can also handle narrow chef’s knives like boning or fish filleting knives. You can even sharpen small blades of folding knives with perfect control.

The SVM-00 Small Knife Holder has been developed so that you can sharpen your smallest knives to the same precision as larger knives. This is particularly appreciated by woodworkers and woodcarvers, who commonly use small knives where precise sharpening is of the utmost importance.
