The Makita DLX2180TJ is a 18v LXT Brushless Twin Kit including Models DHP484 18v Combi Drill and DTD153 18v Impact Driver. The Makita Brushless motor is precision engineered to be up to 50% more efficient than a comparative model. Without brushes in place to apply friction a Brushless motor can produce a greater measure of torque per weight. With more torque at your disposal less power is required for day to day use, adding to the motors efficiency and extending the products overall lifetime as maintenance becomes less of an issue. The DLX2180TJ is supplied with 2 x 5.0Ah Li-ion lightweight and shock-absorbing battery packs. The Li-ion range delivers 430% more working capacity during it's lifetime compared to Ni-Cad and is 40% Lighter than Ni-MH. The Li-ion has minimal depletion of power during use or in storage over it's lifetime.
