You won’t have to worry about confusing wires or hidden pipes triggering false alerts, because this tool uses powerful removable magnets to detect screws and nails embedded in the studwork behind your plasterboard or drywall. Unlike electronic “wall scanners,” it’s inherently immune to electromagnetic interference, giving you confident results with less hassle. As you glide it across the surface, the magnets subtly tug when you pass a fastener - that’s your cue to stop and mark the spot. The AMSF1 lets you locate and mark up to three studs in one sweep, thanks to dual magnets and additional magnetic marker tags. While you're in marking mode, a rotating built-in spirit (bubble) level helps you maintain perfect horizontal alignment. It spins so you can work in both portrait and landscape orientations.  To help with vertical layout, it includes a plumb-line hook so you can align off the same point over multiple heights. For marking, there’s a central hole sized to accept the Tracer 2.8 mm deep-hole pencil, so once you’ve found a stud you can push your pencil directly through and get a clean, precise mark.
